Dr. Tobin is Managing Principal of IMPACT LLC, a professional services firm serving Life Sciences industry clients and U.S. federal government’s HHS Operating Divisions, including FDA.
Overall, IMPACT services focus on organization and project feasibility/viability including “due diligence” and managing the accompanying required changes.
Dr. Tobin’s most recent consulting on clinical trials provides research and analysis on biomedical research challenges as industry and regulators respond to new models and approaches for Research Design, Development, and Delivery (RDD&D). Such work has included, for example, determining the feasibility of conducting studies, developing strategies for increasing recruitment of under-represented populations, and assessing the healthcare and cultural landscape for conducting clinical trials internationally. Clients are global manufacturers as well as venture financing entities.
As a certified mediator, Dr. Tobin has mediated individual and community disputes for the Washington, DC court system; and serves on a local government Advisory Council for the redevelopment of a federally owned Naval facility.
Her university faculty roles have included designing and teaching courses in identifying cultural differences and developing cultural competence at the University of Maryland (College Park); as well as for the US Foreign Service Institute, USAID, and Meridian House International’s foreign visitors programs.
